Small Symplegades Stones
This sculpture its inspired from the Symplegades stones, also known as the Clashing Rocks or Cyanean Rocks, were mythical rocks in the Bosphorus that moved to crush any ship passing between them. In Greek mythology, they posed a significant challenge to Jason and the Argonauts on their quest. Advised by Phineus, Jason successfully navigated through them by sending a dove ahead to trigger the rocks, allowing his ship to pass with minimal damage. This action stopped the rocks' movement forever. The Symplegades are often associated with dramatic natural landscapes and have been interpreted variously in literature and mythology.
