Daedalus Wings
This artwork its inspired from the myth of Daedalus and Icarus is one of the most famous and fascinating Greek myths.
Icarus was the youngest son of Daedalus.
In Greek mythology the name Icarus is mainly known as the son of the Athenian Daedalus, who was exiled in Crete. Together with his father, he stayed at the court of Minos, who had commissioned the skilful and versatile Daedalus to build the Labyrinth, in order to imprison Minotaur in it. After a while, however, Daedalus fell into the disfavour of the king, who imprisoned the maker of the Labyrinth in his construction. He managed to escape, however, by putting his genius into action. He built wings for himself and Icarus, with which the two men flew into the sky and away from Crete.
